DR SARA AWAN
MBBS, BSc, MRCGP, DFSRH, PGDipDerm, PGCert Aesthetic Medicine
Having completed her Medical Degree in 2004, she went on to complete an MSc in Public Health Nutrition from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh. She then qualified as a GP and decided to pursue her further interests in women’s health by completing a Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health, as well as undertaking coil and implant training. She also pursued her interest in dermatology by completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dermatology from Queen Mary’s University London, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine, also from Queen Mary’s.
In addition to working as a GP, Sara also has experience in practicing aesthetics abroad, and she also enjoys teaching and training. She delivers regular medical and healthcare education to medical students in deprived countries voluntarily.
Her weekends are usually occupied by her children’s activities, as she enjoys watching her son play rugby and cricket, and her daughter performing gymnastics and playing the flute. She also loves painting, swimming, reading and spending time exploring nature.
She is passionate about delivering a high level of healthcare and believes strongly in educating and empowering patients to make decisions that are in their best interest.
