This scan is to examine the testes and scrotal contents.

Including the assessment of the superficial and deeper tissues of the:
● Scrotum
● Testes
● Epididymis (tube connected to the testis)
● Spermatic cord

Your Testes and Scrotum Scan

This scan, available from 16 years of age, is performed by a qualified sonographer with diagnostic scanning experience.
It can help to identify the cause of lumps, pain and swellings of the scrotum.

For conditions like:
● Scrotal hernias
● Epididymal cysts
● Hydrocoeles (fluid)
● Varicoceles (varicose veins)
● Unexplained swellings and testicular masses

Your trousers and underwear will need to be lowered to expose the scrotal area. Tissue will cover everything except the affected area that is being examined.
