COUNSELLOR /
PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Heather Kynaston is a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and is a registered member of the BACP.

Are you struggling with something difficult in the here and now, such as the loss of a loved one, or the breakdown of a relationship? Or perhaps you’re aware of vague, underlying feelings of sadness, anxiety, or anger. Maybe you feel trapped in a cycle of repeated disappointments with partners, friends, career and don’t know why. Whether you know what the problem is, or even if you don’t, therapy can help. It’s an opportunity to explore yourself; to examine feelings, thought, and motivations to gain understanding - the first step towards navigating a different, happier course.

Heather works from a place of non-judgment and authenticity; she will work at your pace. You can expect honesty and integrity from her always. Imagine trying to master a set of monkey bars. Counselling is like having someone standing underneath to encourage, to listen to your fears, to catch you if needed, and say keep going, it's ok, you can do this.

In her spare time Heather likes to walk her dogs, spend time with her rescue Shetland pony, and socialise with family and friends.

Finding the right counsellor can be a challenging journey. It's difficult to gauge comfort solely based on a picture or a short bio. The most effective way to discover a comfortable 'fit' is by engaging in conversation with them.

At Fylde Private GP, we extend a complimentary 10-minute telephone consultation for you to explore Heather's counselling style and assess its suitability for your needs. This session provides an opportunity for both parties to determine compatibility and establish a foundation for potential collaboration moving forward.
